Security around The X Factor has been stepped up after a crazed fan tried to attack host Simon Cowell and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole.
Cowell and Cole were leaving a hotel in Scotland after filming scens for the talent contest this month when they were approached by the crazy man. Cheryl was posing for snappers when the man lunged through the crowd and grabbed her. She was saved by her assistant.
A spokesman for the show says, “Cheryl happily posed for a picture with this man - then he came up behind her and bear-hugged her.”
I don’t know if that guy is crazy, maybe he should’ve just asked if he could have a hug? But to come up through the crowd and bear hug her had to scare her.
