J.K. Rowling took the stand yesterday against the man who wants to make his very own Harry Potter Encyclopedia. When asked what the books mean to her, she compared to them to children. Oh, she’s good.
She said that she’s made enough money and that’s not why she was there. She said, “These books, they saved me.” Yep, saved you from destitution.
I hope she wins, though, because as a writer, I believe that someone else should not be able to benefit from your hard work. And 17 years of hard work? She should have her rights protected. And besides that, isn’t the name Harry Potter trademarked?
